so i absolutely love watching my little baby jay sleep. every once in a while he gives this adorable smile that makes me wonder what in the world he is dreaming about that is so good.

well, our little family made it to kentucky! quinn drove our stuff across the country while baby jay and i flew and we all happened to make it safe and sound on the same day at the same time. we bought a home that quinn found when he came out house hunting that is perfect for us but needs a lot of work. we are excited to start working on it and making it our own. wow! i didn't know that you could be this filled with joy and not burst! i have never in my life been this happy. jayden is such a good baby and so much fun to have around. quinn and i pretty much lay on our beds and stare at him all day long. he is already showing expressions and smiling a lot which cracks his parents up. quinn and i were talking today about how at the end of each day we want to re-live that day because it was such a good day. we love him more that we thought was even possible.

there is nothing like coming into your room every night and finding a new cute and cuddly animal made out of towels on your bed, not to mention chocolates. and if you were wondering...yes quinn and i shared that twin bed. we got the bunk bed suite but never pulled down the top bunk. why do i have a feeling that in a few years we are going to look back on this and say "dang we were crazy".
our good friends ange and walt came on the trip with us and we can't even begin to describe how much fun we had. (if brandon and becca are reading this, that last sentence was for you). they had the room right next to ours so we decided we needed a code: 3 pounds for "are you ready to go?" 2 pounds back meant "yeah, give me 5 minutes" and 1 pound meant "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" we really miss that.
after the last entertainment show of the night there is not much to do on the cruise if you don't drink or gamble, so getting our groove on in the dance club became the place to be.
and now for our favorite souvenirs from the cruise (besides all my really cute new earrings of course)... baby's new mexican clothes. the cabo onesie was given to us by the girls we sat with every night for dinner, and the shirt next to it was a great find by quinn. ____ is going to look so cute in it in about a year!
it's tradition in my family to have my mom make the blessing outfit. it is adorable...and good thing its not long-sleeved because we all know that his arms will never fit any shirt as long as he gets his dad's go-go gadget arms.
i think that this was the time that everyone was laughing at me when i got excited about seeing 21 on the tag of a shirt when it really said 2T. my mom said that i've got a long way to go.
you know quinn is going to put this thing on him every day. this kid has no choice but to love the number 21....there is really no way around it.
the best gift was when i opened lyric's present and read a card that explained that she too was going to have a baby. i'm so excited! our kids are going to be the best cousins ever and totally hang out all the time. (i guess we should find out if she's having a girl or boy first before we make them best friends).
my sisters are seriously the coolest!
quinn's grandma is just loving these pee pee tee pees i got as a gift from hollie. if you haven't heard of them...yep, they really are a little tee pee for the little pee pee when changing his diaper. i would much rather use those than my hand. thanks hollie.
i think that karen and cocoa (quinn's mom and sister) had their hands on my belly the entire trip. i loved it, but i think buddy liked it even more because he didn't move around as much that weekend.

at this point he was so sick of taking pictures he covered his eyes with the oversized mittens that barely stay on his hands. we are so excited to have this new guy in our family!
