family portraits

i love these photos done by a few of my favorite photographers; they totally capture my eye and inspire me. they make me so excited to get our family portraits taken one day... and not just the cheesy j.c.penny ones, but by hopefully one of these photographers. most of these are taken by a new friend ashley thalman. her untraditional poses shows her insane amount of creativity. she is such an amazing photographer and i would kill to have her take our family pictures right now, but she is in salt lake and we are in louisville so we are just going to have to settle for danny our hillbilly neighbor (who happened to see us setting up our camera on the car to take our picture and kindly offered to help out). i mixed our pictures in with the others to show the stark difference between a real photographer and, well, danny. i don't know, he did pretty good. i mean can you even tell a difference between the two? jk

I think your pictures look good. You are so photogenic. By the way, your screen door is awesome. I would love to have that on my house. Where did you get it?

that's funny that you like our door because we almost didn't keep it. it came with the house, which is definately not new, and we had to fix the handle. but now i'm very glad that we kept it. it does have a little personality doesn't it.

Ashley really is unbelievably talented (and not just because I love her in every was possible)! Your little family looks so happy and you have done such a great job on your new house. I am jealous and inspired all at the same time! :)

Looking good! What a happy little family. You're so lucky to be able to live next to hillbillies.

We miss you guys!! We have yet to find really good friends like you guys and the Chappells, but I'm not surprised since you guys are so great! Oh, by-the-way, we noticed that Quinn is wearing an Op shirt that Nate has. Pretty funny! And I think your pictures are classy.
